Travel the Unexpected With Me

On one of my many unconventional journeys, I chose to explore the Balkans in the company of a man. I love the charm of Paris and the sparkle of Mykonos, but they have never quite been my idea of the perfect holiday. This time I wanted something different, and the Balkans gave me exactly that: raw, surprising, gloriously unpredictable. We wandered through towns where maps refused to help, signs seemed to vanish, and the kindness of strangers became our only guide.

One night in Bosnia, after walking in circles and asking directions from the rare passer-by, we finally stumbled upon the hidden hotel—right next to the only open restaurant in town. Inside, an old oven was pulling out trays of golden, steaming börek. We ate more than we should have, laughing at the small chaos of it all, and what might have been a frustration turned into pure magic.

That trip taught me something: the less touristy, less inflated destinations are the ones that test you the most, yet reward you with memories you could never plan. We laughed in front of a surreal polystyrene statue of Tito, swam beneath the emerald roar of the Kravica Falls, braved the glorious chaos of Tirana’s streets, dined at Albania’s best Michelin-starred restaurant for the price of a casual dinner, and later, on a deserted beach, we left everything behind—clothes included—and swam in the turquoise sea, utterly alone with the horizon.

These weren’t planned highlights. They were discoveries—born of detours, mistakes, and the sweet complicity of two people turning unpredictability into memory.

A few snapshots from my Balkan journey — the ones I managed to save before losing the camera card.

The Spirit of My Travel Ideas

That’s exactly the philosophy behind my Travel Ideas. They’re not bucket lists or pre-packaged itineraries. They’re a curated collection of sparks, arranged month by month, because every destination has its perfect moment to shine.

And they reach far beyond the Balkans. One month might lead you to the volcanic islets of the Galápagos, another might suggest the sulphur baths and amber wine of Tbilisi. You could be drawn to the silence of Koh Phra Thong in Thailand, or to a medieval manor in Devon that feels as though it belongs in a novel. There is even Bhutan—remote, mystical, suspended between clouds and prayer flags..

Why Travel With a Companion?

Part of the beauty of traveling with me is that there’s no stress. If you want, I can plan the whole journey — curating the itinerary, managing the bookings, and smoothing out every detail so that you can simply enjoy. Think of me as both travel partner and problem solver, someone who keeps things running effortlessly in the background.

But if you prefer to take the reins, that works too. I can adapt to your way of traveling, leaving you in charge of the logistics while I simply share the adventure by your side. Either way, you never travel alone, and the journey always flows.

Where the Unexpected Becomes the Unforgettable

Because the truth is simple: you don’t bond over flawless schedules or crowded landmarks. You bond when the maps fail, when a stranger’s directions turn into an adventure, when a hidden restaurant becomes your private stage. You bond when you let the unusual lead the way.

So wander through my Travel Ideas. Pick the destination that intrigues you most—or the one that feels the most unknown. Those are the journeys that will surprise you, test you, and reward you with memories that glow brighter the more time passes.
